We keep meeting a lot of people in our life.

Along with that, we have our families, close friends to rely on, relatives, workplace employees, and other connections. But it’s quite essential to have healthy relationships. It could be with parents, inlaws, spouses, or partners.

We keep facing different experiences with various people at every juncture of our lives, but it’s up to us to turn those encounters into meaningful relationships. 

Lasting connections take time and effort. 

Healthy Relationships

Love and challenges are part of every relationship.

So why do some connections last while others don’t?

It’s about choosing to respond with love during tough times.

Basically, your thoughts, emotions, and perceptions colour your relationships. 

You are often clouded with past experiences, fear, and anger.

The most important connections are built on integrity and are nurtured over time.

Unresolved emotions become imprints, and after that, They influence your behaviour. Understand that Relationships based on negativity cause pain and suffering.

But those built on awareness of freedom, trust, and affection bring joy.

Happiness and unhappiness arise from your thoughts, not external circumstances.

How you feel internally(Joy/sorrow )in your life depends on how you perceive it.

It depends on whether you react/ respond to the situation.

But again, remember it is quite important whether you stay in it or resolve it and come out. 

Happiness in Relationships

Happiness comes from contemplation, compassion, and connection.

Happiness is being integral to yourself.

Even before you expect others to be truthful. 

Start the journey from within. 

Unhappiness arises from investing in negative thinking of the mind.

Well-being begins with awareness in the face of conflict. 

Awareness is the path to joy.

The way you connect with others reflects how you connect with yourself. 

Your inner state of being is like a source that influences your relationships. 

From this inner source, you bring recurring experiences of love, affection, and joy—or, alternatively, experiences of hate, resistance, and indifference—into all your relationships.

Whatever is there inside will only be reflected outside.

That’s why working on yourself is essential instead of blaming others.

How you see and feel about yourself is reflected in how you interact with others. 

You and your relationships are intertwined; they reflect each other.

What exists inside comes out naturally, doesn’t it? 

So better, why not nurture oneself?

Meditation is the best way to help you to self-introspect 

Let us begin with a simple meditation.

  • Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and breathe deeply. 
  • Identify the emotions of your situation that bring you happiness and how often you experience them. 
  • Recognize the unpleasant states of mind and their frequency. 
  • Be aware of your thoughts and sensations during each state. 
  • Consistent practice will help nurture joy and dissolve negativity.
  • Breathe and open your eyes.

Just imagine if you have a car/bike… you definitely maintain it in good condition. You take it to the garage periodically and see it’s doing well.

Apply the same to your growth, relationships, and all aspects of your life.
