We are in a situation where there’s an accelerated change. I heard a powerful quote from someone who said, “Change is constant”.
How To be the Best Version of Yourself?
It is the only thing we can expect. That shift is something that happens everywhere.
All life forms undergo transition; even our emotions get altered. In fact, the whole universe, the cosmos, is changing at every moment.
Do you know that out of the 37.2 Trillion cells in your body, 96 million of them die every minute?
96 million new cells are created each minute?
A lot of cells are dying, and new cells are being born.
Our brain is constantly changing.
There are 250,000 neurons are added every minute!
So, Is there anything as permanent?
Seeking permanency is foolish!
You might have observed in your sometimes,
“Strangers may turn into friends.
Friends may turn out to be enemies,
enemies may turn out to be friends”.
That’s how life is!
Flow with the Life
When one resists improvement, there is no evolution. There is no progress.
Whenever there is no progress, it is understood that it is stagnant.
If there is water clogged, you might have noticed that mosquitoes are attracted to the stagnant water.
Each day is a given for us to evolve and make ourselves better.
A better way of thinking, a greater way of dealing with relationships, and nourishing oneself.
Many people told me that they make resolutions every new year and keep writing in their books about their plans, very enthusiastic at the beginning. But it will end up in nothing.
Few plan to follow a strict and healthy diet, but after a few days, they can’t resist the temptation.
In fact, they eat more junk food. Though initially, the mind might warn them, they just keep ignoring it.
People want to continue their exercise, but they will not be able to make it.
Few will be desperate to improve their relationships. Still, they argue and fight for petty reasons.
If they take a few steps again, they will not be interested in nurturing that relationship further.
These things might also have happened to most of us. We get worried and blame ourselves finally, but is there a solution for us?
Yes, there is!
Change cannot happen overnight. It has to be gradual, and one must enjoy the process.
There has to be constant improvement in each aspect of our life.
Begin with Small steps-Kaizen
Here comes into play a Japanese formula called KAIZEN. Means constant growth &improvement.
It is by growing and making small improvements consistently.
Aiming to become 1% better each day rather than striving for perfection all at once.
It encourages making small, achievable goals and slow gains.
Japan was destroyed by the blast, but still, it rose again.
One of the reasons behind their success is their hard work and also the principles of Kaizen, by striving to grow day by day with little effort.
Kaizen means “continuous improvement.”
This famous Japanese principle is about producing small, gradual modifications or ongoing sustainable progress in all aspects of life, from personal growth to professional life.
This principle helps us to execute long-term advancement and development.
How do you apply the kaizen principle?
Identify your strengths and your weaknesses. Find the critical areas where you’d like to improve.
Then, break down your goals into small steps you can always work on over time.
Focus on making gradual progress rather than trying to acquire significant transformation simultaneously.
By practising kaizen, you may cultivate a growth attitude and accomplish ongoing improvement in all factors.
Japanese proved that they could make huge progress with little consistent effort, affecting the system itself.
- Dont focus on going from 0-100
- Instead, Focus on going from 0-10
- Then go for 10-20
- And so on until you get to 100.
Build sustainable habits through gradual progression.
Understanding and using the idea of Kaizen, or ongoing improvement, is a great way to be your best self. It’s not about big changes that happen instantly. It’s about making small and steady changes that add up over time. By paying attention to tiny improvements, you create habits that help you change for good.
Remember that the journey of self-improvement never stops.
Every little step you take gets you closer to your goals.
Enjoy the process, celebrate each win, and keep aiming for the best in every part of your life
